At The Lawn Barber, we understand that not all properties have the same needs. That’s why we like to give our commercial client’s several options that best fit their property. Whether you have need of complete lawn and landscape management, or just basic maintenance, our options give you the flexibility to make the choice.

Bronze

Our bronze package is the most economical choice for clients who manage properties with minimal aesthetical grounds improvements. This package includes:

Turf Maintenance:

  • Turf shall be cut to a height of:
    • Tall Fescue – 3.5"
    • Bermuda – 1.5 – 2""
    Mowing will take place every 7 days beginning in late March and continuing until the end of October except during extended rainy or dry periods. During those periods, mowing will take place as conditions dictate. Blades will be balanced and sharpened every 8 hours of use.
  • Clipping shall be removed from all paved area after each mowing.
  • Trimming around trees, shrubs, signs and foundations shall be performed as needed in mowed areas. Work shall be performed using hand tools or mechanical devices to present a neat and manicured appearance.

Edging:

  • Accessible curbing shall be edged using mechanical methods at least every other mowing.
  • Accessible concrete walks shall be edged using mechanical methods at least every other mowing.
  • Dirt and debris resulting from edging operations shall be removed from curbs, walks, driveways and patios.

Silver Package

For properties requiring a little more care, the gold package includes all silver package services and:

Ornamental Shrub and Hedge Maintenance

  • All previously mulched ornamental tree and shrub beds will be hard bed edged, weeded, and mulched using a double-shredded mulch two times per year.
  • Ornamental shrubs less than ten feet will be pruned as required but no less than 4 times during a contract period in order to maintain them in a neat appearance. Work shall include removal of tree and shrub branches interfering with walkways, and sucker growth, as necessary.
  • Ornamental tree and shrub beds will be weeded as needed but no less than monthly.

Leaf Removal

  • All leaves will be removed from all maintained turf, plant beds, walks, drives and parking areas as needed but no less than 2 times during the contract period, in January, November or December
  • All leaves and miscellaneous debris shall be collected and removed from the grounds once in March as part of spring cleanup.

Go For the Gold Package

This package is for the client who desires complete lawn and landscape management. The Gold Package includes everything in the Silver Package and:

Agronomics

  • Turf
    • All accessible turf on the property shall be fertilized 2 times per year with the proper blend for each season. A soil analysis will be taken to determine actual type of fertilizer to be used
    • Over-seed all turf areas with an improved turf-type fescue at a rate of 4-5 pounds per 1,000 square feet in the fall.
    • Core aerate all accessible turf areas once in the fall
  • Weed Control
    • Pre-emergent crabgrass control will be applied in spring and early summer depending on requirements of the pre-emergent used.
    • Broadleaf weed control will be applied in April or October to control chickweed, broadleaf plantain and other broadleaf weeds.
    • Appropriate non-selective pre-emergent and post-emergent shall be applied as needed to sidewalks and curbs to prevent growth of grass and weeds in these areas.
  • Insect Control - Insect control shall be monitored and treated as needed during the months of May and June
  • Lime Application - In December or January pelletized lime will be applied at a rate of 3-5 pounds per thousand square feet as general maintenance. Once the "Soil Sample Report" has been received in July, a copy will be forwarded to the managing agent with recommendations for additional needed lime applications along with a cost estimate
  • Seasonal Color - Twice per year (once in the spring and once in the fall), annual flowers shall be planted in front of entrance signs, leasing office and any other areas designated by property manager. Property Manager may choose the type of annuals from the list Contractor provides for them, or Property Manager may elect the Contractor to choose for them.
